Schedule

The Summer School sessions will run from Monday morning to Friday afternoon on 25-29 June. It is recommended for the participants to travel to Turku on Sunday 24 June and depart on Saturday 30 June.

The Summer School is structured in such a way that there are plenary lectures (cross-cutting, introductory-level lectures) on Monday and Friday. More specific, in-depth lectures and workshops are organized on Tuesday and Thursday in three parallel tracks focusing on the three core topics (Nuclear Technology, Nuclear Waste Management and Radiation Protection). Wednesday is reserved for an excursion to Olkiluoto where we will visit the TVO/Posiva visitor centre, a NPP and waste management facilities.

The detailed Summer School schedule can be found here.

The list of lectures and lecturers can be found here.

Academic credits

Summer School organizers will give all participants a certificate on Friday afternoon. If planning to include this Summer School to master or doctoral studies, each participant is urged to discuss with her/his supervising professor in advance how to proceed. The number of ECTS as well as possible examination, reporting and other obligations are decided by the home universities.
